Advanced Recreational

Our advanced development pathway is a brilliant way for keen, passionate gymnasts to train and show off their love for gymnastics.  Our Advanced Squads are all about fun, fitness and friendships.  Our Advanced gymnasts can compete on the same apparatus as Men's and Women's Artistic gymnasts but competing is not compulsory for this group.

Our Advanced Boys and Girls Squads are split according to age and ability so we can support them as they work towards their individual gymnastic goals.

Pre-Advanced:  The first step on to the advanced pathway.  If you have only done recreational gymnastics before and you are between 4 – 11 years of age this is where you will start.  Some gymnasts can stay in this group and move up within groups in the pre-advanced category.

Mini Advanced:  This is for the youngest gymnasts aged between 4 and 8 years.  These gymnasts learn basic gymnastics skills to enable them to compete in beginner competitions.

Junior Advanced:  This group is for our aged 8 to 11 year old gymnasts.  This group starts to learn the bigger skills and can go on to represent the club at lots of different internal and external competitions.

Senior Advanced:  Our Senior squad are aimed at teenagers and upwards.  These gymnasts can train up to 3 times a week and learn some very challenging skills.  Again, they also get many opportunities to demonstrate their skills at lots of different competitions.

Classes range from 1 to 2 hours per session and typically an advanced gymnast would train for 2 to 3 times per week.

If you wish to trial for a place in one of our Advanced groups please contact the club.
