Recreational
All our recreational gymnasts take part in GFA (Gymnastics For All), giving them the opportunity to try all the different disciplines of gymnastics in one place. EVGC follows the British Gymnastics RISE badges programme which supports each gymnast’s progression and rewards them for their successes. Parents have access to the RISE Portal so our coaches can update them on their child's progress on a regular basis.
Recreational Gymnasts can work on Floor, Beam, Bar, P-Bar, Track and Vault during their sessions and could also use small hand-held apparatus.
Recreational gymnastics is for children aged 4 (and in full time school) to aged 16 years, with classes split based on ages.
Our recreational classes are 1 hour in duration and gymnasts normally train once a week.
We offer a Recreational Rebound session for the gymnast who loves tumbling and vault.

Boys Only Recreational Classes
Overview
Our boys-only recreational program runs alongside our mainstream recreational session, with a specialised focus on the fundamentals needed for mens artistic gymnastics. These sessions are designed to provide a fun environment where gymnasts devlop confidence, co-ordination and grow friendships. We have altered the RISE award scheme in order to continually challenge our boys recreational gymnasts to their full potential.
Entry
Entry into the boys only sessions is open to all male gymnasts within our recreational program from 4+, making it an open and accessible pathway to all
Pathway
Classes are set up across both sites within the week and catered towards all age groups and abilities. We currently have our green boys only sessions (4-6 years) as a foundational class, to deliver the basics and fundamentals of mens artistic gymnastics alongside the teamwork and social skills built as well. Above this, we offer our orange boys only sessions (7+ years) catering to more advanced abilities once the fundamentals have been taught within the younger years. However, all sessions will deliver to the individual gymnasts, making it a fun and inclusive environment for all.
