Home-school is a session for children who are home-educated and allows them to do gymnastics as part of their curriculum. This class is on a Tuesday from 1pm to 2 pm and is held at Ilkeston. It is the only weekday, afternoon recreational session on our programme currently.
Our Home-school gymnasts take part in GFA (Gymnastics For All), giving them the opportunity to try all the different disciplines of gymnastics in one place. EVGC follows the British Gymnastics RISE badges programme which supports each gymnast’s progression and rewards them for their successes. Parents have access to the RISE Portal so our coaches can update them on their child's progress on a regular basis.
Home-school Gymnasts can work on Floor, Beam, Bar, P-Bar, Track and Vault during their sessions and could also use small hand-held apparatus during their sessions.
Home-school gymnastics is for children aged 4 (and in full time school) to aged 16 years. This is a mixed ability session.
