Director Retires

We would like to let you all know that Joy Dulston, EVGC trustee and company secretary, has decided to retire from her role on the board effective from 31st January 2021.

Joy has been an extremely dedicated, committed and long serving volunteer at EVGC and an extremely valuable and knowlegable member of the Board and has played an important and active role in shaping the club from a small club to the multi site centre of excellence we have today. Her contribution to the board (as a trustee and a friend) will be greatly missed.

As you may already know, Joy has been involved in so many different areas of the club over the years, from making strategic board decisions and event management, to running the refreshments stalls and raffles at events and competitions so you may all have seen her in the gym at some point. She has also held roles regionally and nationally with the Rhythmic Discipline and supported many gymnasts at competitiions across the country.

The following is a message from Joy as she bids farewell to EVGC …

“Having been with EVGC for at least 20 years, I feel it is time for me to pass the baton to younger members to help take the club through its next phase of development. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with EVGC and have made some great friends along the way. I will still be supporting EVGC at events and for those of you involved in Rhythmic, you will still see me at competitions, so not quite fully left the sport yet!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and friendship over the years and wish EVGC every success in the amazing future awaiting them”

We would like to thank Joy for her commitment and the endless dedication she has shown the club as a trustee and we hope that she will enjoy some much deserved rest and spending more time with her family.
