JANUARY 2022 – CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS

Every year British gymnastics hold a National Awards Evening. This year the awards evening will be online and we can’t wait to celebrate as a club.

There are many categories for the national awards and we are super proud that our Welfare Team have been shortlisted for the Safe Guarding Award and Coach Amy has been shortlisted for the Under 18 National Volunteer Award.

Amy has been with the club for many years now. Amy started as gymnasts and worked through our young leader pathway to become a level 1 coach. Amy is an inspiring coach to our younger gymnasts and passionate about the sport and our club.

Our welfare team are a great asset to our club and have helped lots of gymnasts and coaches since we re-opened after the lockdowns. The welfare team set up our calm zones which are used in our gyms to give gymnasts a nice space to sit and take 5 minutes if they are having a tough day or training session.

We feel so proud to have Amy and the Welfare Team in our EVGC family and wish them all good luck! What ever the outcome they are winners to us!
